Be Mighty Challenge Card
The patron-facing card that tracks each child's Be Mighty actions throughout the challenge. Cards are kept at the library desk and stamped by a librarian each time a young patron completes an action.
When a young patron has completed three of five actions and submitted their poem, their card is complete. Print one per participating young patron and tear off the bottom for them to take home to remind them about the challenge.
Poetry Prompts
Six single-page handouts with age-appropriate prompts to guide young patrons in writing their Be Mighty poem. Each poetry prompt includes directions, the prompt, and writing lines with the beginning of the first sentence started. Designed for young patrons to choose which prompt they'd like to respond to after completing their three challenges.
Can be handed to patrons at the desk alongside their completed challenge card or at a designated poetry station in your library.
Librarian Program Tooklkit
A 20-minute interactive read-aloud program featuring a step-by-step script, discussion prompts, and creative activities that inspire children to find their voice and become library advocates.
The Mighty Macy Maze
Guide Macy to the library so she can finally check out The Mighty Zora Book Two while building problem-solving skills and story connection along the way.
The Mighty Macy Word Search
A literacy-boosting word search featuring key words and themes from The Mighty Macy that supports vocabulary development and reading engagement.
The Mighty Macy Activity Sheets
Student-facing activity sheets exploring voice, metaphor, and self-advocacy, including a poetry exercise, a debate prompt, and a reflective response page.

Share them on your library's social media, embed them on your website, screen them at the desk or during storytime, or send them home with families to build excitement before and during the challenge. Let Kwame do the talking.
Kwame Reading Part 1 of The Mighty Macy
Hear The Mighty Macy the way it was meant to be heard — straight from the author. In this read-aloud recording, Kwame brings the full energy, rhythm, and flavor of the story to life in his own voice. Stream it as a storytime feature, play it as patrons browse your Poetry Wall, or pair it with the Librarian Program Toolkit for a complete Be Mighty library experience.
